Good Choice - I ve heard some strong opinions about this book being about deceiving own children and that no matter what good intention a mother has, she should never deceive her own children. Although this could be a good ground for a longer discussion about ethics, here are some points that, in my opinion, make `Sneaky Chef a good buy: 1. Children only eat what they find attractive to their eyes and their taste buds. Any reasoning about food nutritional value is blocked and absolutely ignored. So if you have a case of a child absolutely abhorring vegetables then the only way to make vegetables a part of daily meals, is to sneak them in to the dish under some disguise. 2. Any reasoning about nutrition is simply not possible in case of small children. It s better to feed them now with the help of Sneaky Chef and teach them later to eat more variety of foods. 3. Many of the recipes provided by the author are also very useful in case of stubborn adults who, like big children, are only guided by the physical appeal of meals rather then by their nutritional content. 4. In the first part of the book the author provided a lot of valuable information about selecting the proper ingredients for making meals, about organic foods, as well as about food contamination, etc. 5. The variety of healthy food recipes in this book is tremendous! 6. Last, but not least, the meals are tasty and appealing to the eye. `Sneaky Chef is a great book for anyone who makes his or her meals at home, not only for mothers concerned about properly feeding their children. I also suggest reading about Proper Food Combination in this other book that I highly recommend for all people concerned about healthy life style and longevity.

Good idea, not practical - This cookbook is designed more for children. I bought it as I thought that my husband and I could get some extra vegtables in our diet. Most of the recipes are for children. I have not made any recipes out of this book yet.Keep in mind, this cook book requires a lot of prep work. You need to make the vegtable purees before you can cook. As well, some of the vegtables that they call for can be expensive out of season.I believe that I will use this cookbook more once there are children in the family. The ideas are great, but not for a working couple that might not have the prep time needed.

Toddler eatting with enthusiasm - My son is not a big eater. He never sad been and although he does eat and love veggies I ve found that he kinda loses interest quickly if there is a lot of different things on his plate. I never push him or comment on what he has eaten and look at what he s taken in over a week rather than in one day but since I ve started cooking these recipes... wow! Yesterday he ate the quick fix macaroni for the first time and asked (and finished!) a whole second bowl. He s loved everything we ve given him more than the regular food I still sometimes serve (and so does my husband). Great addition to my resources.

She will show you HOW - I read a number of books about nutrition so I know WHAT is a nutritious meal, but until now I not always new HOW to cook it so as havlff it is not left on the dishes by my husband and especially my kids. Sneaky Chef helped me a lot in that department. Good job Missy Chase! The book is not expensive so I suggest to get it and try it out, it is really helpful. And if you need more info on proper food combination, add to it Can We Live 150 Years
